Microsoft has released the Hotfix Package 8 for App-V 5.1. The Hotfix is titled as March 2017 Servicing Release for Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack and pushes App-V to version 5.1.118.0. The Hotfix can be downloaded here: KB4014009
The following Issues were fixed in HF08 for App-V 5.1:
- App-V throws an error when the user selects the Preview button in InfoPath Designer.
- The Sequencer does not correctly capture rapid creation or deletion of registry entries for applications with large registries.
Note The corresponding Sequencer fix is available through the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for the Windows 10 Creators Update.

The AppV5.1RTM_RDS_KB4014009.exe file does not contain the client for the RDS setup, it seems to only contain the standard client. When extracted the following files are present;

appv_client_setup_patch.exe
Interesting, I will test that next week.
I am receiving the same error for the RDS update.
I would raise a support call with Microsoft on this. It seems like they forgot to remove the RDS Check from the Installer.
